What You'll Do in This Position
In this role, the Senior SCM Program Specialist (Compliance) will be expected to interface with contracts and supply chain management departments which includes multiple procurement departments, government property, procurement planning departments, chemical management, the technical and analysis area, and contracts.
This position may be required to develop compliance plans, lines of inquiry, and interface with leadership or internal or external audit organizations.
In addition, they may be required to perform compliance reviews and/or assessments as an independent and objective reviewer and evaluate compliance issues/concerns within the SCM organization with minimal supervision or under the direction of Compliance management.
They may be expected to analyze assessment data, draw conclusions, trend results and effectively communicate summarized results in written reports through the use of Microsoft 365 and the various apps, such as Power Apps, Power Automate, MS Planner, Power BI, and Project Management tools (not all inclusive) and briefings.
They may also be expected to create performance metrics or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for these areas to include data analytics, developing charts, and PowerPoint slide development.
The SCM Program Specialist (Compliance) will be expected to perform Supply Chain Management functions at the mid professional level. The successful candidate will be able to continue progressing in this role or be able to cross train to support other SCM functional areas to include: Warehouse Operations, Property Management, Facility Management, Acquisition Services and Inventory, Acquisition Support, Small Business Program, Policy & Compliance, Business Engagement, and Technical Services.
The mission of SCM is to perform at optimum capacity to achieve excellent customer service at the Savannah River Site. Organizational goals have been defined in SCM’s Strategic Plan with flow down to employees. The SCM Program Resource 2 is responsible for:

  • Actively participate in SCM’s Tiered Operating Performance System (TOPS) process.
  • Identify and assist in the implementation of continuous improvements.
  • Performing cross functional senior program level assignments that help facilitate the effective operations of SCM. These assignments may include warehouse, property, purchasing, etc. See Attachment A: SCM Functional Area Check List. The successful candidate will have periodic management oversight of assigned projects. This person will provide leadership and function as a mentor and educator for less experienced personnel.
  • Complete training requirements for positions as required by the company.
  • Obtain/Maintain proficiency on company designated systems/ applications for processing work.
  • Provide feedback to SCM managers in quarterly performance reviews and/or as needed to ensure performance issues are addressed timely.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Security Clearance Information
SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications We Require
High School Diploma, GED, or other equivalent State Credential
Qualifications We Desire
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Business/SCM-related experience preferred.
–Experience in Supply Chain functions, Government property management, Information Technology, Records, government prime contracts, or Audit with the Federal Government or a Federal Government contractor
Experience in business compliance or assessment roles that function as an independent and objective reviewer and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the SCM organization.
  • Performs independent internal compliance reviews and investigations with minimal supervision or under the direction of Compliance Management
  • Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, trend results and effectively communicate summarized results in written reports
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 and the various apps, such as Power Apps, Power Automate, MS Planner, Power BI, and Project Management tools
  • Proficient with managing data in MS Excel, pivot tables
  • Experience with creating performance metrics or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Experience with data analytics, developing charts, and PowerPoint slide development
  • Familiarity with investigatory techniques and report writing
  • Must have strong analytical skills and written and oral communication skills
