Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for development, implementation, oversight, instruction, and evaluation of agency sanctioned programs.
  • Assist programs, reentry and rehabilitative services with hands on development of specialized programs.
  • Help recruit volunteers from the community to assist in program facilitation.
  • Teach courses/programs, help train inmates as peer-to-peer facilitators, and oversee program facilitation.
  • Perform other duties upon request of the Assistant Deputy Director for programs and the institution's warden.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision, and with discretion.
  • Will work with inmates on a daily basis.
  • Must attend SCDC basic training.
  • Resume requested, not required.

Must successfully complete two (2) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and relevant program experience.
SCDC Minimum Requirements:
(or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).
