Position Summary:

EVgo is looking to fill the Senior Revenue Assurance Analyst position, reporting to the VP of Enterprise Technology. You will support efforts to establish best practices for Revenue Assurance and all revenue-generating activities. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, a great communicator who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The nature of the role will require periodic in-person meetings in our Los Angeles office and other travel as required.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously evaluate Revenue Assurance processes, controls, and systems to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to mitigate risks and streamline operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Accounting, Internal Controls, Finance, Sales, Operations, and IT, to ensure alignment and coordination in revenue-related processes, systems, and initiatives. Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on Revenue Assurance matters.
  • Assess risks associated with Revenue Assurance and implement adequate controls and processes to mitigate these risks. Develop a robust framework to monitor, report, and escalate Revenue Assurance risks to senior management.
  • Analyze large volumes of data from various sources, including financial systems, customer records, and billing systems, to identify trends and maintain reporting metrics across the organization.
  • Perform ad hoc projects and analyses to support the overall Revenue Assurance function.
  • Responsible for monthly Revenue Assurance activities.
  • Lead credit card billing for retail, commercial, and OEM charging revenues along with charging sessions/usage data used for related costs (e.g., host billings, etc.).
  • Responsible for ensuring that credit card charges are processed accurately and timely.
  • Ensure that relevant billing controls are in place and strive to eliminate the risk of lost credit card charges.
  • Responsible for identifying and managing all controls and processes for credit card billing and revenue collection.
  • Provide monthly validation certification to the Accounting team for the accuracy and completeness of credit card revenue and session data with any open issues summarized that are at a sufficient level for the Accounting to evaluate the potential impact on the Company's consolidated financial statements.
  • Ensure credit card billing data is interfacing efficiently and timely with credit, settlements, and the general ledger.
  • Work with Accounting, Finance, and Enterprise IT teams to write, maintain, validate, and optimize SQL queries against various databases to extract necessary data for recurring reporting and ad hoc analysis to ensure data integrity around credit card revenue and session data.
  • Research and develop an in-depth understanding of the data infrastructure for credit card revenue and related costs to facilitate data extraction and support the Enterprise IT, Accounting, Finance, and executive management team's analytics, insights, and operational and financial reporting needs.
  • Develop and implement a culture focused on meeting all compliance and regulatory requirements as they pertain to credit card billing.
  • Responsible for identifying billing management SLAs and ensuring credit card billing exceptions are being worked timely.
  • Work with multiple business units to identify other areas of revenue and create automated reports and verification of the data.
  • Work within the Enterprise IT department to create automation of data between multiple systems using IPaaS.
  • Manage relationships with IT and other internal cross-functional departments as it relates to enhancements and day-to-day operations and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with the development teams to identify and mitigate Revenue Assurance issues and provide the necessary product inputs to enhance our software capabilities.
  • Responsible for vendor management of all billing systems and associated processes.
  • Work with various internal cross-functional departments to assist with customer issue investigations, sales product development, pricing, credit, and portfolio risk matters.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Advanced understanding of end-to-end revenue cycles for customers/products with focus on retail/subscription credit card billings, recurring billings, and milestone-based and usage-based billings
  • 5+ years of experience, preferably in Revenue Assurance, especially around credit card billing
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills
  • Extensive knowledge of billing platforms
  • 5+ years of experience with exposure to process and systems analysis, data analytics, billing, and/or project management preferred.
  • Ability to relate and compare data from different sources and identify cause-and-effect relationships.
  • Solid understanding of operations and controls, best practices, and regulatory compliance standards for small and large customers
  • Advanced knowledge of analysis, reporting, financial modeling, and auditing
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a results-oriented focus and ability to identify and implement creative and innovative solutions.
  • Strong technical skills and ability to multi-task

  • Strong business acumen to make critical decisions and understand business, financial and organizational implications of changes in the internal and external environment.

For job positions in CA, CO and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $95,000 to $105,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, discretionary target cash bonus and restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval).
