Oil And Gas Senior Revenue Accountant

BASA Resources, Inc a private upstream Oil and Gas company is seeking an experienced Senior Revenue Accountant. Position is on-site.
Job responsibilities:
Record operated and non-operated property revenue
Update Excel spreadsheets to account for contractual, regulatory, or purchaser changes
Prepare necessary revenue-related journal entries
Prepare, process, and pay Texas severance taxes
File regulatory reports and pay GLO and UT Lands royalties
File federal and Texas processed gas and natural gas liquids reports
Perform monthly variance analysis
Reconcile severance tax payable accounts
Reconcile revenue accounts receivable accounts for Oil and Gas purchasers
Process ongoing prior period adjustments
Integrate acquisitions into the monthly revenue process
Assist in monthly close process and annual audits
Review and respond to owner inquiries
Ad hoc projects as requested by management
Requirements of the ideal candidate:
Bachelor's degree in accounting
Minimum of 3 years of experience in revenue accounting for operated Oil and Gas properties
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to detect problems and resolve discrepancies
Self-motivated and detail-oriented with good organization skills
Excellent interpersonal and time management skills - able to meet critical deadlines
Software:
OGsys (Oil and Gas accounting software) - experience preferred but not required
Advanced knowledge of Excel, including working with pivot tables and VLOOKUP
