Senior Research Associate

**Onsite Role in South San Francisco, CA**

Job opportunity with a top biopharmaceutical company that is looking for a Senior Research Associateto join their team on a 12-month contract with an opportunity for conversion or extension!

Qualifications:

• Masters or equivalent degree in Biophysics, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• 1-3+ years of industry experience, and at least two (2) years designing and executing SPR experiments.
• You will have the ability to independently plan, execute, and analyze complex experiments, have demonstrated the ability to solve complex problems in biophysics and biochemistry, and have strong presentation and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Hands-on experience with additional biophysical techniques such as ITC, DSF, MST, and other biophysical methods would be a plus.

Job Description/Skills:

• Performing hands-on SPR characterization of protein-small molecule interaction.
• Participating in collaborations with internal and external partners by performing biophysical characterization of lead compounds across projects.
• Communicating and collaborating across the company to build a deep pipeline of novel therapeutics addressing unmet medical needs based on synthetic lethality.
• Develop and run biophysical assays to understand the interaction between the newly discovered inhibitors and the target.
• Characterize ligand binding sites, and mechanisms of action (MOA).
• Work together with the lead discovery team to evaluate new technologies.
• Work with our protein sciences group to characterize reagents.
