About Us: Our lab is dedicated to advancing the understanding of epithelial biology in lung repair and regeneration, particularly focusing on the impact of aging and fibrosis. We are actively involved in developing novel drugs and molecular tools to modulate the repair process and prevent fibrosis. See recent publications: Chapman et al NEJM, 2020; Kathiriya et al CSC, 2020 and NCB, 2022; LeSaux et al AJRCMB 2024). With ongoing projects investigating alveolar repair in both normal and diseased human lungs, we offer a unique opportunity to delve into groundbreaking research. As a Research Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in our research endeavors. You will gain hands-on experience in various techniques including culturing lung slices, isolating primary cells from human lungs, and analyzing samples using flow cytometry and immunofluorescence. Additionally, you will manage mouse strains, conduct genotyping, and assist in testing transgenic mouse lines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop valuable skills in cell biology, setting a solid foundation for future graduate studies or corporate employment.
