Vir seeks a contract Senior Research Associate of Bioanalytics to perform bioanalytical assays to support development of large molecule assets. You will be involved in the development of bioanalytical assays supporting non-clinical and clinical studies. Work with the bioanalytical scientist on method development, study sample analysis, and reporting of data. You will report to the Senior Scientist, Bioanalytics.
This role is based in our San Francisco lab facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES:
- Develop bioanalytical methods to support large clinical candidates that are at different stages of research and development.
- Develop Pharamcokinetic (PK), Anti-drug antibody (ADA) and Neutralizing Antibody (NAb) to support clinical and non-clinical studies.
- Perform sample bioanalysis to support non-clinical drug development activities.
- Generate and characterize critical reagents to support the assay development and life cycle maintaineces (eg. Labeling)
- Perform troubleshooting and evaluation of a variety of complex methods to identify appropriate bioanalytical solutions.
- Work with bioanalytical scientist and collaborators to support drug development activities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- MS (3+ years) and BS (5+years) relevant industry experience
- Experience in assay development and validation for clinical and non-clinical studies.
- Experience in development and validation of PK, ADA and NAb assays.
- Demonstrated expertise in GLP and GCP compliance of sample handling and storage, bioanalytical assay development, sample analysis, and laboratory operation and procedures/processes is required.
- Technical expertise with a variety of platforms to analyze all aspects of large molecule therapeutics, including those with complex sample handling and preparation procedures (e.g., enzymatic assays, ligand-binding assays, cell-based assays, etc.) from a variety of biological matrices (e.g., serum, plasma, etc.).
- Technical expertise with critical reagent generation (labeling) and characterization is preferred.
- Familiar with PK and PD principles pertaining to establishment of relevant assays and assay ranges.

The expected salary range for this position is $112,000.00 to $163,000.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
