GSA Staffing has an immediate need for an experienced Senior Project Manager in Jacksonville, FL. This position is a direct hire with a prominent Construction and Engineering Firm.
Must have electrical background.
$115,000 Start based on experience.
Essential Duties:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers and venders.
- Manage and/or coordinate Company personnel and resources.
- Develop skills and mentor project management employees.
- Coordinate with General Superintendent on project manpower requirements
- Prepare and maintain Schedule of Values and Pay Applications throughout the project duration.
- Build and implement project schedules.
- Create and maintain change orders and logs.
- Oversee and plan each project with GC from pre-construction through turnover.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple industrial projects at the same time and work in conjunction with the field superintendent and their daily operations to ensure they are complete, on time, and under budget.
- Oversee and manage daily project coordination.
- Respond to issues for ongoing project(s) RFIs in a timely manner.
- Review addendums and changes for bidding purposes
- Keep and maintain communications between company and GC’s, subcontractors and owners throughout the building process.
Specific Essential Duties:
· Safety – Everyone is responsible for Safety. PM is ultimately responsible for safety on their project. Meet with EHS regularly when on project (No less often than once a week
· Track project status and costs.
· Submit billing information to the administration staff to create accurate invoices.
· Produce and maintain project budget.
· Provide project forecasting.
· Estimate or manage the estimate of large projects.
· Provide project/estimate pass down.
· Review field leads project plan.
· Hold other team members accountable for their task.
· Review/Approve timecards.
· Fill out or review Permit App then send to signing supervisor for signature. Ensure it is submitted once signed.
· Review subcontracts.
· Discuss project schedules and manpower needs with the project field lead to determine the need for layoffs or new hires.
· Coordinate needed project equipment and material submittals.
· Review all change orders/proposals prior to submission.
· Ensure purchase of all long lead items.
· Perform weekly project walks with field superintendent to verify progress and perform field safety audit.
· Approve all overtime requests.
· Approve or deny any extra or out of scope work.
· Review material orders.
· Review and approve all large tool / equipment purchases.
· Work with super to develop project specific work schedule (Start / Breaks / Stop).
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years semiconductor industry I&C and power project management experience
- Proficient in estimating means and methods. Proficiency in Accubid or similar estimating software is highly preferred.
- Ability to produce and update a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed.
- Ability to understand and organize an electrical estimate.
- Ability to provide project cost projections.
- Understand OSHA requirements on electrical projects.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Low Voltage Systems
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
