The Senior Technical Project Manager will join our project management practice team and work closely with counterparts in our IT, software, data engineering; and various business units at IMG Academy to provide end-to-end delivery of critical projects. This role will provide project leadership by establishing goals, plans and related metrics, track progress, and remove obstacles to achieve success.
Position Responsibilities
- Develops and demonstrates an understanding of project business needs, clearly defining scope, resources, and success criteria.
- Collaborates with the project team to identify the approach, deliverables, schedule and tools to deliver the project within established constraints.
- Help teams distill high level requirements into task level deliverables and identify dependencies and sequencing of work across multiple teams and functions.
- Track and maintain activities, tasks, and milestones through development and delivery with a strong focus to drive accountability.
- Provides orchestration of deliverables across multiple teams with attention to interdependencies.
- Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks and unblock issues.
- Ensures visibility and transparency into project deliverables, milestones, and status.
- Help solve strategic and tactical problems.
- Able to provide the correct context, tone, and relevant information to a broad range of audiences from executive leadership to technical engineers.
- Provides timely and consistent project updates and issues.
- Establish and maintain vendor relationships. Including holding vendors accountable for delivery and quality standards.
- Coordinate efforts between vendors and internal delivery teams.
- 5+ Years of program or project management experience in a technical role.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and change management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with all levels of technical and non-technical staff (including C-Level and VPs).
- Positive cross-functional collaboration skills; familiar with matrix organizations.
- Experience coordinating Technical Projects in a hybrid (agile/waterfall) environment.
- Cloud based application PM experience (CRM, ERP, HRIS).
- Infrastructure project management experience (telephony or networking).
- Strong understanding of data and analytics.
- Project management tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Ability to work independently and proactively, with a focus on results.
- Able to provide structure and organization to undefined projects and initiatives.
- Demonstrated examples of exceptional emotional maturity and EQ.
