Position Overview
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join Yunex Traffic in Miami, FL to lead large and complex projects in the Miami, Florida area. Responsibilities include upgrading, maintaining and support the operation of central and field road traffic control and management systems and intelligent traffic system (ITS) road infrastructure.

Selected Detailed Responsibilities
- Assume full responsibility for the results of the assigned projects and successfully implement them according to external and internal requirements, targets, and best practices.
- Adheres to, ensures, and fosters compliance with Yunex Traffic conduct guidelines and regulations.
- Delivers customer projects execution with clear communication, stakeholder management and team leadership.
- Actively manages contracts, requirements, deliverables/scope, resources, time, cost, quality, risks and opportunities, procurement and logistics, communication and collaboration, documentation and information, environmental matters, health and safety, continuous improvements, controlling and reporting.
- Acts as the customer interface for the assigned projects.
- Agrees targets with project staff and delegates defined responsibilities and authority.
- Facilitates and monitors effective team collaboration.
- Handles and complies with all PM@Yunex relevant processes and milestone work results.
- Ensures implementation of Yunex Project Management Plans.
- Monitors continuously the project status, considering financial guidelines, early identification of discrepancies and initiates targeted actions.
- Defines procedures and requirements concerning quality management (audits, tests, acceptance checks) according to valid Quality Management regulations and standards.
- Documents all work results according to the valid standards.
- Optimizes the project cash flow and assets.
- Monitors the performance of the subcontractors / partners, conducts timely escalation (in the event of qualitative shortfalls and problems in cooperation) and, where there are any discrepancies, initiates timely suitable action.
- Negotiates with stakeholders on Change Requests and incorporates them into contracts.
- Defines and agrees with stakeholders the strategy for making / mitigating / defending claims.
- Throughout project life cycle, identifies and assesses all risk factors utilizing available risk measurement tools.
- Devises suitable strategies for risk mitigation (elimination, reduction).
- Implements procedure for solving issues and problems (identification, analysis, actions and controlling) with all necessary internal and external partners.
- Identifies and minimizes non-conformance costs.
- Throughout project life cycle identifies, assesses, and implements all opportunities for improving results
- Ensures that all risks (including compliance) are identified and pursued.
- Actively gathers information on the customer and the customer's requirements/targets.
- Identifies / creates additional opportunities out of the ongoing projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- Professional knowledge acquired in 5+ years (e.g. in processing / construction / engineering / development / commercial activities) with varying duties/functions.
- 4 years of managing projects of different project environments (customers / partners / scope / countries / etc.) and budget responsibility exceeding $30M.
- Management of cross-organizational subcontractor: 2 years management of subcontractors.
- 5+ years of experience in the ITS industry, i.e. knowledge of urban integrated roadway traffic management and intelligent transportation solutions.
- Team size of 6
- Experience of working with international, multicultural teams.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven knowledge, experience, and skills in the management of complex infrastructure projects.
- Skill Leadership methodologies e.g. for personnel management and development, team development, motivation, conflict management.
- Knowledge and interrelation of the project environment with e.g. context, strategy, targets, processes, rules, decision-makers and stakeholders, platforms, IT systems and tools.
- Knowledge of performance spectrum of relevant organizational unit (solutions, services, and products).
- Knows the customer market and its competitors, as well as the customer strategies, business processes and decision-makers.
- Knowledge of intercultural communication and collaboration.
- Knowledge of economics in project business: Established procedures for monitoring and control of financial aspects of project (e.g. project costing and reviewing).
- Knowledge of internal and international rules, Fundamentals of Supply Chain Management, Asset Management, Global Procurement Policy.
- Overview of local law of countries directly affected by the project (i.e. countries of: customer, suppliers, partners).
- Project management methods concerning efficient project organization including roles and responsibilities, duties, and collaboration (also with customers and partners).
- Knowledge of project management tools.
- Knowledge of technologies according to scope of project to understand technical implications.
- Knowledge of languages: English, Spanish beneficial.
Conditions
- The position is full-time, onsite and exempt from overtime.
- The position reports to the Head of Project Management.
- The minimum number of hours per week is 40.
