About the Role
Assists in directing financial activities of the organization by coordinating, consolidating, and analyzing financial plans and projections and providing information to management under minimal direction.
Your Responsibilities
- Provides support to Controller and prepares financial reports
- Ensures timely and accurate monthly financial reports and performs regular analysis of book and ledgers to ensure accuracy
- Participates in capital process to ensure proper evaluation and presentation of capital needs and compliance with approved budget
- Prepares audit schedules and reports, oversees end-of-year change over, maintains program analysis and fixed assets
- Responsible for monthly closing of financial books and prepares weekly, quarterly and annual forecasts
- Responsible for assisting with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance efforts, through training process owners, providing assistance with documentation, performing reviews, and completing testing as necessary.
Who we are looking for
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills in order to prepare reports and communicate with management
- Possesses strong organizational and project management skills in order to provide necessary resources
- Advanced use of computer software including Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on advanced Excel skills
- Good leadership skills with ability to clearly communicate a vision, educate individuals and teams, and influence decisions
Your preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university
- At least 5 years progressive experience in accounting and finance preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Baan, Hyperion and crystal reports is recommended.
