In order do this efficiently & profitably, we need teams, tools, and leadership to accurately plan for the demand of these millions of products. These planning forecasts are used to determine unit volumes for production, inventory and supply chain needs, production scheduling, transportation and delivery routing, and a host of other critical mechanisms.
Product Managers in Amazon's Devices and Services Organization play a critical role in getting our world class devices to our customers in time, through the right delivery channels and at the lowest cost. We are seeking a leader who can raise the bar for excellence in this function. You will be expected to drive the long-term vision for planning automation and accuracy by creating scalable tools that meet the requirements of product lines and are integrated across our multiple systems. This is a high-visibility role for a business-critical function that has a global customer base and a major impact on growth of the Devices and Services business.
The role will require ability to engage and influence multiple partner teams including Product Lines, Finance, Science, and Engineers to create a well aligned strategy and deliver products in support of that strategy. It will require constant engagement with the leadership team of Amazon Devices and Services, as well as partner groups, to report product delivery and progress towards the long-term vision.
Key job responsibilities
• Defining the vision and requirements for our planning products, and achieving that vision
• Diving into data to understand areas of opportunity, defects, and customer needs
• Working backwards from customers in supply chain and Product lines to define the planning strategy
• Partnering closely with scientists and engineering team on a roadmap for our products
• Communicate and earn trust with our customers in supply chain and the product line owners
• Working cross-functionally with multiple teams
• Communicating strategy and vision through written documentation for leadership and partners (example: vision documents, roadmap and planning documents, monthly business reviews)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience owning technology products
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
