How You'll Spend Your Time
- You will perform complex analysis of individual well historical performance and processing facilities using petroleum economics software (PHDWin 3.0 or Aries).
- You will prepare engineering data for input into computer systems to run an economic analysis of oil/gas properties and processing systems.
- You will calculate loan value, the half-life of properties, and other required loan data.
- You will review outside engineering reports and company product sales, income and expense reports.
- You will utilize and maintain commercial online databases (IHS) and software applications used primarily by the engineering department.
- You will perform independent research and studies relating to oil and gas prices and reserve trends.
Education & Experience Requirements
The required level of knowledge is normally acquired through a Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering and 10+ years’ experience in oil and gas industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred: PE Certification.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of oil and gas production and terminology,
- Extensive knowledge of oil and gas economics
- Extensive knowledge of petroleum economics software analysis (i.e. PHDWin 3.0 preferred and Aries)
- Thorough knowledge of commercial on-line data bases (i.e. IHS)
- General knowledge of commercial loan operations
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to meet with clients, prepare written reports, and generate presentations, as needed
- Excellent PC skills including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet applications and databases
