The CC Electrical Engineer Intern will be assigned special projects in any one of the combinations of Instrument and Electrical Engineering, Plant Engineering and/or Engineering Support groups. A presentation to senior leadership at the end of term is expected covering all aspects of the internship experience and accomplishments.

Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least a junior level Electrical Engineering student and must have completed the following courses: Circuit Theory, Linear Systems & Signals, Digital Logic Design before beginning the internship.
OR
- Must be a full-time Electrical Engineering student with at least 30 hours completed (Sophomore, Junior, or Senior).
OR
- Enrolled (at least part-time) in a graduate level program.
Candidates must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credentials Card)
Must have current valid drivers license
GPA of 3.0 or above (A=4.0)
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration. Candidates selected for employment must meet eligibility criteria to obtain a TWIC card.

Job Duties- Assist CCR Reliability Engineers and Maintenance Technicians in providing technical support for a variety of refinery units in order to achieve reliable equipment performance and maximize equipment availability while meeting the company's safety, environmental, and economic objectives.
- Assist in providing engineering services, such as electrical equipment design, equipment verification surveys, and developing recommended maintenance practices.
- Perform routine engineering calculations (i.e., Motor Service Factor, electrical feeder sizing, conduit fill, etc).
- Assist Reliability Engineers in researching older infrastructure to help determine equipment End of Life and develop repair or improvement plans.
- Recognize Safety, Health and Environmental issues that impact the unit, the refinery, and all personnel. Interpret instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions.
- Assigned Special Projects usually to include one or more of the following: equipment design, preparation of specifications, equipment integrity evaluations, research investigations, report preparation, and other activities of limited scope requiring knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed in the specific area of assignments.
