Education
- Bachelors or Master's Degree in Computer Science or in a Technical/Business Discipline is required
Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of Ten (10) years' experience in working with multiple versions of PeopleSoft and PeopleTools across HCM modules.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) who has performed multiple PeopleSoft and PeopleTools upgrades and patch installations using Change Assistant and PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM).
- Working experience and understanding of PeopleSoft HCM applications (v 9.2 PUM 33+ with fluid technology) and PeopleSoft Tools (v 8.57+)
- Experience in administration of associated middleware products like, Oracle WebLogic, PeopleSoft AppDesigner, Oracle SQL, etc.
- Experience working with different lines of businesses to fully understand the customizations made to the environment, and the impact to project timeline.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Has Strong knowledge of Server virtualization, PeopleSoft debugging, PeopleSoft tuning
- Has Strong Knowledge of PeopleSoft with Oracle RAC Architecture integration and configuration
- Ability to plan and prioritize work and meet project deadlines
- Must be self-motivated and work well with other groups
Preferred Skills
- Has Strong Knowledge of PS and PT on UNIX, with AIX preferred
- Experience working with an enterprise wide, large scale implementations
- Experience working within a matrix environment.
- Certified in PeopleSoft Upgrade Administration
- CA Tool & PUM
- Shell , SQL, scripting.
- Experience working with New York City Automated Personnel System (NYCAPS) is preferred
Responsibilities
- The Senior PeopleSoft Upgrade Specialist will be responsible for upgrading the agency PeopleSoft (PS) application, currently operating for Active City Employees and Retiree Health Benefits, to a newer version of the PeopleSoft application.
- Execute the appropriate upgrade scripts, perform the necessary system configuration, and create/retrofit existing code, web services, interfaces and reports to upgrade the current agency Actives and Retirees to a newer version of the platform.
- Installation, maintenance, and configuration of PeopleSoft, PeopleTools, and associated Middleware infrastructure.
- Supporting the infrastructure of critical Citywide applications including agency and related applications.
- Works closely with Technical Lead and project teams to coordinate upgrade work and be responsible for completion of all the upgrade activities within the project timelines with competing priorities
