Job description

AMECO is looking to hire an experienced and highly motivated Operations Manager. The Operations Manager is responsible for the successful development, implementation, execution, demobilization, and close-out of a Site Services project. With Safety in mind, the primary responsibilities are to plan, direct, coordinate, and manage cost and budget, and personnel activities concerned with the provision of site services. The Operations Manager position will make decisions in areas that may impact the organization and its employees, clients, budgets, policies, procedures, work practices, or compliance programs and execute other organizational matters by positioning the company to maximize operational efficiency and generate revenue growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure services successfully support the company’s mission, vision, values, and objectives.
  • Promote a culture and leverage business knowledge for continuous opportunities across the company.
  • Collaborate with key functional managers to ensure their organizations and reporting efforts are effective and efficient, ultimately having the capacity to foster company growth and the development of a cohesive team.
  • Ensure that proper procedures are followed in executing and charging for services, materials, tools, and equipment, and ensure the timely collection of all past-due accounts.
  • Maintain and promote good member relations by consistently applying Human Resource, Safety, and Quality policies and procedures.
  • Typically manage personnel and provide an environment for the development and professional advancement of staff members, including on-the-job and formal training and development opportunities, and timely performance feedback.
  • Leverage internal and external resources to administer policies and procedures consistently across all business lines, functions, and locations.
  • Effectively interprets and executes the prime contract in a manner that mitigates risk and delivers financial enhancements to the project.
  • Develops, maintains, and continually improves client relations.
  • Participates in client construction planning and management meetings and provides communications to the site services management team regarding any/all changes in scope or action items.
  • Provides day-to-day management ensuring the provision of services are being delivered with a high level of quality and safety.
  • Guarantees that all work is performed per the company’s execution standards, policy, processes, and practices.
  • Implements the quality program by conducting a client alignment session and establishing a schedule for the client review process.
  • Ensures the contract terms and project plans are effectively communicated with the site services staff members and craft, as required.
  • Continually measures the project's financial performance against as-sold and prepares monthly profit and loss forecast reports.
  • Organizes and prioritizes a variety of complex services and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, sets priorities and meets critical time deadlines.
  • Conduct additional duties, as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications & Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 20 years of proven, constructional managerial experience.
  • Solid business acumen and proven ability in process improvement.
  • Proficient with online tools and systems for business operations.
  • Strong leadership skills including exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven mentorship skills and the ability to develop personnel through career progression.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally throughout the company, including across geographical offices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess ethical decision-making and behavior.
  • Valid Driver's License required.

  • This position is based in a warehouse/distribution setting.
  • Role involves working alone and collaborating as part of a team. Often required to work at a fast pace to meet deadlines, thus some stress may occur.
  • Environmental conditions include frequent exposure to heat, temperature changes, noise and humidity.
  • Occasionally the performance of this position will require exposure to production/manufacturing areas, which may result in being near moving mechanical parts or being exposed to fumes or airborne particles. These respective areas will require the use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, hearing protection or hard hats. The noise level in the production/manufacturing areas is usually loud.
