Job Summary and Mission
This position contributes to Starbucks success by providing operations expertise and consultation on plans, projects, and promotions impacting retail operations. Consultation includes planning for, developing, and testing large and/or highly-complex products, systems and programs within retail operations that deliver customer experiences that enhance and grow the value of the brand. Consults throughout the Company to identify opportunities and optimize performance in support of the Starbucks Partner, Customer, and Business. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
This Ops Consultation Manager will be part of a team responsible for the Foundation of Ops Excellence. This includes work such as work methods (Approaches), tools (Retail Guide), and knowledge base (Steps to Excellence).
This job will be located in Seattle at our Starbucks Support Center HQ.

We’d love to hear from people with:
- Management experience (2 years) or 5 years of progressively responsible experience including 2 years of retail operations management and 3 years of implementation and/or project management in a retail or restaurant environment.
- Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.
- Strong knowledge of retail store operations, processes, and procedures
- Ability to establish and maintain effective cross-functional working relationships.
- Ability to operate and influence across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Ability to assess the impact of change and develop processes to ensure effective implementation and user acceptance of new processes, products, procedures, or methods.
