Responsibilities
- Perform thermal analysis, including Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), for designing thermal management systems and evaluating their performance.
- Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to develop specifications that meet relevant mechanical, environmental, and standard requirements.
- Design, develop, and implement mechanical systems for industrial, defense and aerospace applications.
- Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure designs have acceptable margins and desired functional characteristics while optimizing their design for the most cost-effective product.
- Generate fabrication documentation and vendor specifications.
- Develop manufacturing processes for fabricating, assembling, and installing components and systems.
- Assure system and product quality by testing finished product and system capabilities and confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
Necessary Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, product design or similar fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and developing mechanical systems for various applications, including industrial, defense, or aerospace.
- Demonstrated experience in designing thermal management solutions, including experience with fans, liquid cooling systems, and other cooling technologies.
- Experience with 3D CAD tools – Solidworks or similar.
- Experience with thermal simulation tools – Ansys, Solidworks, 6 Sigma ET or similar.
- Experience with mechanical simulation tools – Ansys Mechanical, Solidworks, or similar.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with integrating components and modules, such as power supplies, PCBs, I/O, batteries, etc. which resulted in end user products.
- Experience with tooling and materials process validation (Cp, CpK, SPC).
- Experience with product validation (e.g. environmental, shock/drop).
- Experience with all stages of product design from initial concept to production ramp.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
