The Marketing & Commercial Strategy team is responsible for driving consumer demand and helping achieve business goals (revenue, attendance, occupancy, and guest experience) for the Disneyland Resort. The team achieves these goals by developing business and communication strategies and partnering with cross-discipline teams to develop integrated communications plans that will drive consumer behavior. The team also oversees the management of the plans to ensure each campaign or program is maximized across a wide range of marketing tactics.
The Senior Marketing Strategy Manager will contribute to the development and execution of consumer-facing marketing campaigns for the Disneyland Resort, in partnership with cross-discipline teams, to deliver business goals for each assigned area of focus. Demonstrating critical thinking and team leadership skills, the Senior Marketing Strategy Manager will guide communication planning rooted in consumer insights, exhibit sound creative judgment, and drive go-to-market innovation, activate unplanned revenue-driving programs, identify new market opportunities, manage ongoing performance and optimization, and drive integration and collaboration.
You will report to the Senior Manager, Marketing & Commercial Strategy.
Responsibilities:
Drive business results by developing and implementing integrated marketing plans that incorporate strategic planning, consumer insights, best practices, and innovation across various channels (e.g., digital, social, traditional media, etc)
Provide actionable creative and strategic input to partners across the entire marketing organization
Partner with the insights and analytics teams to gather information that enhances our understanding of the guest journey, attitudes, and behaviors to inform our go-to-market approach
Build strong relationships and collaborate with cross-discipline teams to ensure flawless execution of tactics
Analyze our business’ performance, needs, risks and opportunities, and recommend insights-driven solutions to address gaps in forecast or competitive marketplace
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant experience with a proven history of implementing marketing campaigns and developing new processes and strategies that drive marketing campaign success
Understanding of a broad set of marketing subject areas – covering PR, creative, media, social and digital, partnerships, et al.
Critical thinking and the ability to succinctly frame up a verbal or written POV that influences leaders, partners and peers
Strong presentation skills – visualizing data, crafting clear narrative within a presentation and creation of presentation decks
Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with complex data sets
Demonstrated ability to project manage a high-volume, fast-paced portfolio of tactical programs
Strong and productive partnerships in and out of marketing, as well as cross-functional team leadership in a collaborative and inclusive environment
Experience working with P&L, annual operating plans, and interpreting and communicating data
A thought process that leads to great ideas, business spirit and ability to embrace risk-taking.
Computer proficiency (PowerPoint, Keynote, Excel, Word)
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in Marketing Strategy, consumer packaged goods (CPG), advertising agency and/or brand management
Experience leading and implementing strategic roadmaps for national-level marketing campaigns
Language proficiency (Spanish preferred)
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or Equivalent
MBA or Equivalent preferred

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $123,000 - $165,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
