Position Summary
The Specialty Digital Patient InnovationSenior Manager will be accountable for driving digital adoption within CVS Specialty line of business. This role will be responsible for multi aspects of building a digital-first, best-in-class Specialty pharmacy:
1. Drive first fill digital adoption, improving messaging console improvements, identification of first fill tracker message content as well as enhancements to existing products, new product and or functionality roll outs and communications. Initiative work may include: discovery, requirement development, QA Reviews, UAT, production shakeout
2. Support and lead the strategy and end development of new program and services in collaboration with business and IT teams, including defining project requirements, project plans, process definitions, commercialization, and sales strategies, defining success measures, and ongoing product improvement
The Specialty Digital Patient InnovationSenior Manager will have accountability in ensuring Specialty Operations can realize multi-million revenue and cost take out goals. To be successful in this role, the incumbent must have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to create and tell a story using data sets comprised of formal and informal inputs, the ability to collaborate strongly with technical and nontechnical users and the ability to manage a broad portfolio of products and services. Examples of business problems the incumbent will be accountable to drive are:
1. Increase digital order share by 3-5% year over year with limited capital available to deploy
2. Build project ideas and execute them from the ground up with limited guidance from others
3. Identify solutions for patients starting therapy with us to engage with us digitally and stick with digital services as available
The Specialty Digital Patient InnovationSenior Manager will interface with internal clients on a regular basis (daily / weekly) inclusive of multiple levels of leadership and must possess a deep understanding of the business coupled with the ability to influence and impact others. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for leading informally internal resources that span multiple organizations, such as product, finance, digital product, and operations.
The Specialty Digital Patient InnovationSenior Manager will collaborate with enterprise teams such as finance, digital, operations, enterprise analytics, and external partners such as account teams and technical teams. This role is responsible for driving digital adoption through managing a portfolio of tactics and may discover additional continuous improvement opportunities as a result of this work. As such the incumbent should feel comfortable diving deep into details to develop data-based problem statements and proposed solutions to those problems in a way that is repeatable on a large scale.
Responsibilities include:
- Support the development and execution of strategic and tactical solutions, enhancements, patient journey mapping, and technical IT builds, as well as align internal and external stakeholders on progress and next steps. (S)he will be focused on the flawless execution of quality new solutions.
- Partner with Enterprise Analytics, finance, and product teams to develop questions and answers to complex questions using structured and unstructured data sets. Define scope, identify source data systems, pull sample queries and validate results, use full results files to run and execute ad hoc campaigns to patients about their therapy with the goal of changing patient behavior
- Indirectly lead a team of professionals at various levels within the organization outside of operations in areas such as digital and product to develop solutions to complex problems in creating a digital-first, best-in-class experience for Specialty Pharmacy from the clients’ perspective. Ensure performance guarantees are not negatively impacted by the development and implementation of net new functionality
- Leverage voice of the customer feedback posts to develop continuous improvement ideas and put these ideas into action by working them through CAPPD. Develop business requirements and business cases for the ideas generated by internal and external stakeholders and see these ideas from ideation through project execution
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years healthcare industry work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors or above degree in computer science, mathematics, business strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of pharmacy systems like SPARCs, SPRx, CE2000, PeopleSafe, ProNet (not inclusive list)
- Advanced working knowledge and ability to leverage Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to effectively analyze and synthesize large amounts of complex data into relevant insights and present data in a logical, concise manner using tools like Tableau
- Ability to produce results by working within established deadlines, and understanding next steps
- Ability to learn new topics quickly and add perspective on complex processes that lead to solutions that make our operational units more effective and efficient
- Lead others directly and indirectly
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
- Collaborate across teams such as IT, finance, enterprise analytics, outside vendors (e.g. Mattersight, Verint, Quantum Metrics) to set operational goals and deliver on budget commitments
- Excellent proven interpersonal skills with the ability to teach and motivate others
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Knowledge of Specialty workflow including the ability to identify opportunities that have broad and far reaching impacts
- Ability to work collaboratively with IT teams and represent/support the business
- Possess strong overall working and hands-on knowledge of specialty system applications – UI, workflow, table structure etc.
- Possess strong overall working and hands-on knowledge in specialty operations and processes
- Demonstrates flexibility to support rapid adjustments to strategy and priorities to meet changing business requirements; conveys strong sense of urgency to drive issues to closure
- Possess ability to apply new innovative approaches to initiative delivery
- Good understanding of metrics, measurement of activities, productive work, rates etc. to support calculation and/or validating value/savings, building business cases and business models for value

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$79,200.00 - $174,200.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
