Job description

Job Summary:

The Senior Manager of Provider Recruitment will manage all aspects of Provider Recruitment for Care New England Medical Group. This includes working with the COO and vice presidents in the development of criteria and the implementation of strategies to hire and retain quality providers, creating data-driven benchmarking strategies, leading the Provider Recruitment team, and directing day-to-day recruitment operations.

The manager will need to work closely with leadership teams across Care New England to gain a better understanding of their recruitment needs and create a strategy to support those needs.

The Senior Manager of Provider Recruitment will be responsible for developing strategic imperatives to improve and re-imagine Provider Recruitment, for leading the department and ensuring the competency of its team members, and for implementing a metrics-driven strategy.

He or she will be charged with ensuring that all positions represent the Care New England brand consistently, and that all processes and templates are being utilized as designed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develop monthly tracking reports and progress notes on recruitment efforts tracking, and follow-up materials.
2. Research, develop, and track key provider demographic information, including
retirement timing and the emerging needs of the healthcare provider community.
3. Research and target potential candidates, conduct appropriate screenings for further
evaluation, and arrange and successfully complete initial interviews of targeted
candidates based on the organization’s strategic provider recruiting plan.
4. Help to develop a recruitment strategy to achieve Care New England’s diversity mission.
5. Assist in the development of standardized processes and procedures to support
department goals and the organization’s strategic initiatives.
6. Develop and facilitate the completion of formal recruitment plans based upon the
system’s strategic plan, emerging lines of business, and the ongoing attrition planning.
7. Coordinate schedules of interviews, and develop agendas and follow-up action
plans, with appropriate communication and coordination with providers and
affected constituents throughout.
8. Implement internal and external outreach plans promoting open positions are Care New England Medical Group.
9. Implement a plan of outreach to graduate medical institutions.
10. Partner with the legal team on provider agreements and contracts for services used in Provider Recruitment (e.g., hotels, rental agencies).
11. Supervise a Provider Recruitment specialists and recruitment coordinator.
12. Oversee any locum relationship and locum needs the organization has.
13. Performs all other duties as assigned

Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree is preferred.

A minimum of seven years’ experience in healthcare recruitment, with at least five years’ experience in directly supporting Provider Recruitment and at least two years’ experience managing a healthcare recruitment team, preferably a Provider Recruitment team.

Must have knowledge of healthcare recruiting and health care operations.

A strong understanding of physician practices and health care systems.
