RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work to grow LifeStance’s brand awareness through a variety of channels, including business, consumer, and trade press.
- Develop, oversee, and execute strategic PR plans; collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure PR efforts support LifeStance’s business objectives.
- Own LifeStance’s press bureau and spearhead media relations activities that convert to impactful placements.
- Lead development and delivery of messaging, press releases, collateral, contributed content, speaking and awards submissions, etc.
- Lead executive thought leadership initiatives, including contributed content strategy/execution, speaking, and awards submissions.
- Oversee the amplification of key brand partnerships, including referral partners and research collaborations.
- Demonstrate a nuanced understanding of not only the media landscape but also our key competitors.
- Manage the external PR agency and ensure strict adherence to KPIs, deliverable timetables, etc.
- Proactively develop new pitch angles and fodder for media and liaise with the agency on execution.
- Manage multiple projects at once with excellent attention to detail; demonstrate strict adherence to deadlines.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in public relations/strategic communications, either at an agency or in-house.
- Exceptional writing skills are a must. The ideal candidate is well-versed in AP style and has significant experience writing high-quality messaging, collateral, speaking and awards submissions, etc.
- Strong verbal communication skills and project management experience are critical.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with all levels of company management.
- Exceptional media relations skills and demonstrated track record of securing steady cadence of tier 1 placements.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently on projects from start to finish, while also being an excellent collaborator.
- Genuine interest in mental health.
