Job Description:
As the Senior HR Manager for the Midwest Region at NOTS Logistics, you will lead and oversee all Human Resources functions for our operations spanning multiple locations across the Midwest. With a focus on strategic HR initiatives and fostering a positive work culture, you will play a pivotal role in driving organizational success and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives for the Midwest region.
- Partner with senior leadership to drive organizational change and cultivate a high-performance culture.
- Provide guidance and support to local HR teams to ensure consistency and alignment with company policies and practices.
- Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees on all matters related to employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting open communication, teamwork, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Lead efforts to address employee feedback, concerns, and grievances in a timely and effective manner.
- Talent Acquisition and Development:
- Partner with hiring managers to identify talent needs and develop recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process, including candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Implement programs for employee development, training, and succession planning to support career growth and retention.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations across the Midwest region.
- Conduct audits and assessments to identify areas of risk and develop strategies to mitigate potential liabilities.
- Collaborate with legal counsel and HR leadership to address legal issues and provide guidance on HR-related matters.
- HR Operations and Analytics:
- Oversee HRIS systems and processes to ensure accurate and timely data management and reporting.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and inform decision-making.
- Continuously evaluate and streamline HR processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (master’s degree preferred).
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, particularly in the Midwest region.
- Demonstrated experience leading HR initiatives and driving organizational change.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is strongly preferred.
