Supervision and Regulation (S&R) plays a critical role in The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago's core mission, supervising regulating state-chartered banks that are members of the Federal Reserve System, bank holding companies, financial holding companies and savings and loan holding companies. About the S&R Talent Operations Team:
The Talent Operations team is an enablement function in Supervision and Regulation with core responsibilities related to managing performance management, compensation, hiring, position management and timekeeping and for all Supervision and Regulation employees.
About the Position:
The Senior Talent Management (Business Operations) Analyst will offer the opportunity to drive processes for a 500+ person staff from end to end. The work will require strong influencing skills and ability to lead and complete complex projects while still being adaptable and building strong relationships at all levels. The level of work required is considered advanced, requires high confidentiality and staff must be able to work under minimal supervision. This position has no direct reports.
• Hiring and Outreach: Responsible for managing the operational and administrative pieces of the department's hiring. This individual will help drive the department hiring efforts, including the coordination/relationship management of college outreach activities within the 7th district.
• Performance Management: Responsible for managing all facets of the department's performance management program, including goal setting and both mid-year and year-end performance evaluations. Management of this program includes, but not limited to, being the central point of contact for leadership inquiries, driving change in structure and philosophy, facilitating calibration sessions, and conducting analyses. This position will serve as a key contact to the People & Culture department and business partner in the roll-out of the semi-annual performance management reviews.
• Awards: Responsible for the management of Department Award nomination process. The position will also include being the key department contact for the Bank and System Awards nomination processes. This includes creating a project plan, nomination forms, analysis and presentations along with presenting to the department's committees on results.
• Research: Researches and responds to complex talent issues and prepares and presents proposals on solutions to all levels of staff and leadership.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead and present on complex projects; independently develops project plans, timelines and milestones for complex projects
  • Draw on professional experiences to develop, maintain, collect and distribute key materials such as project plans, tracking spreadsheets, metrics and/or documentation
  • Derive sound analysis of complex topics, conducts thorough and accurate work, supports findings and conclusions, makes recommendations and decisions, and follows-up, as appropriate
  • Generate ideas for process improvement initiatives and participates in control activities that establish, maintain and validate standards for the functional area
  • Draw on professional experiences and expertise to determine best practices and make recommendations to improve current business practices; participate in efforts to make changes in business practices
  • Prepare and present both orally and in written form, conclusions and recommendations concerning complex matters to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strategic work relationships and networks with both internal and external stakeholders, such as the department, Bank, other Reserve Banks and the Board of Governors
  • Serve as a mentor and/or coach; provide guidance, training and constructive feedback to all levels of staff

Your Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development or equivalent experience
  • Five plus years of direct work-related experience
  • Experience with Workday is a plus
  • Demonstrate advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possess a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel and PowerPoint) and has experience using SharePoint Online (SPO)
  • Possess general business acumen
  • Demonstrate independent and critical thinking and decision-making abilities as well as have strong written and oral communication abilities
  • Ability to provide guidance and constructive feedback to less experienced staff and peers
  • Possess strong teamwork skills and the ability to build and work collaboratively within and across work teams
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively lead a team without authority and to resolve moderately complex to complex issues
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage time and projects effectively by adjusting quickly to new and different priorities
  • Possess the ability to understand risk focused supervision and processes

Location:
This position is considered Hybrid. Your presence will be expected at one of the 7th District offices- Chicago, Des Moines or Detroit. Chicago is the preferred office.
