Work Shifts Tour 2 9 AM - 5 PM Job Description Verification of insurance eligibility and benefits for all patients requesting services at NYC H+H Metropolitan. Conduct comprehensive System Checks for the uninsured population and/or when no insurance has been identified.
This also includes telephone interviews with patients when all other tools and/or options has been exhausted. Facilitate Public Health Insurance screening and enrollment via the NY State of Health for the uninsured populations requesting Imaging Services. Accurately update and revise Demographic, Biographic, and Insurance information in EPIC.
Inform patients or their representatives via mail and/or telephone of their scheduled appointment date, time, and location. Perform customer service and/or billing inquires for patients presenting with account issues, billing issues, etc. Conducts patient interviews and/or pre-screening process to obtain identifying/qualifying Demographic, Biographic and Insurance information to assist with completing the New Patient Registration process.
Demonstrate the ability to be flexible, organized, and function efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Handles Telephonic Financial Screening DAR schedule Reviews & Call patient's from WQ # 16774 & conducts pre-screening, provide list of documents & schedule appointment for Financial Counseling in the OAR. Minimum Qualifications Six months of service as a Hospital Care Investigator.
