Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to manage Geotechnical Engineering investigations, perform engineering design, and oversee construction testing. We are located in California, in the foothills between Sacramento and Tahoe. We collaborate with other Geotechnical Engineering groups from San Diego to Sacramento to Portland.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Geotechnical Engineer is an experienced, licensed professional that is responsible for:
- Developing the scope of geotechnical investigation and preparing proposals.
- Understanding client objectives, code requirements and industry standards.
- Supervising the work of engineering staff and field technicians.
- Maintaining client relationships.
- Managing project technical and financial performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or equivalent
- 4 or more years experience in Geotechnical Engineering investigation, design and/or Construction Quality Assurance (CQA)
- Insurable driving record
- Valid CA Driver's License
Certifications/Licenses:
- Professional engineering license, Civil Engineer (CE)
- Geotechnical Engineer (GE) title is a plus
