Our busy and growing client is seeking a dynamic, creative, and experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer ready to apply their skills to a wide variety of projects. The ideal candidate has not only the technical skills, but also the ability to communicate effectively with all team members regarding geotechnical projects from conception through construction. Job Responsibilities:
- Perform and manage Geotechnical Engineering investigations and studies
- Work closely with clients, including owners, architects, and other design professionals to determine project needs
- Prepare scopes of service, proposals, and budget estimates
- Work closely with project management and field staff to provide technical recommendations
- Train, mentor and guide graduate professionals
- Analyze field and laboratory data
- Prepare and review Geotechnical Engineering reports
- Other duties include geotechnical plan review, business development, and attending project design and construction meetings when needed
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering required, Master’s degree preferred
- California PE registration is required, GE preferred but not required if have the experience
- 6 or more years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering or closely related discipline preferred
- California project experience, including schools and hospitals, strongly preferred
- Must possess strong written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and clients
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical capabilities
- Ability to effectively work in a team environment
- Valid California Driver’s License and clean DMV report
- Willing to help with business development and market to new clients
