SUMMARY:
The position will work directly with the Vice President, Business Licensing, as well as other teams/departments where needed, to provide support tailored to our clients’ Business Licensing needs, such as responding to sales inquiries, producing quotes, setting up new requests, and explaining our suite of services. This position will utilize extensive industry knowledge and experience when strategizing and interacting with clients at all organizational levels. Precise and professional communication and customer service skills are essential. This individual is directly responsible for the quality of the clients’ experience with the company and shall exercise independent judgment in making decisions and solving problems that adhere to the expectations, policies, and goals of the company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Build and maintain client relationships by providing excellent customer service.
· Responsible for effectively communicating with clients regarding Business Licensing services.
· Respond and resolve incoming client, affiliate, and vendor requests, queries, issues and concerns via phone and email.
· Efficiently manage the entire order process from initial client inquiry through processing, invoicing and follow up.
· Assist with initial client account set up and maintenance.
· Assist with answering phone calls and routing to the appropriate team member.
· Ensure employees provide service in a manner that consistently meets or exceeds the clients’ expectations by enforcing customer service standards and periodically auditing the work product and billings of employees.
· Uphold productivity by assessing, addressing, and monitoring the teams’ workloads and recommending necessary staffing adjustments to ensure that the service needs of clients are met in an appropriate and prompt manner, including providing direct assistance or coverage when appropriate.
· Maintain a hands-on practical knowledge of all procedures and mechanisms for performing all services provided by the department, including a multi-jurisdiction knowledge base of licensing requirements across all industries.
· Grow and maintain strong working knowledge and database for each state's licensing requirements, restrictions, or limitations. Requires ability to use judgement to answer questions on licensing, gather information/fact finding on issues related to licensing and permitting.
· Prepare and submit business license applications on our clients’ behalf, contacting various city, county, and state government agencies, as needed, in order to ensure timely and accurate return of business license from the authorities
· Assist in other duties as necessary.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
· Two or more years of experience in the licensing industry or project management role.
· Experience working in a multi-function, multi-geography environment preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role is not a supervisor position.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers whose first language is English.
