Form of workReporting to the Senior Director, Finance you will be responsible for a variety of tasks surrounding the financial accounting and reporting process. This includes accounting and review for technical and judgmental areas. This position requires knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and will be instrumental in the preparation of the SEC filings. This position will partner frequently with personnel at all levels throughout the Company. Consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of communication are vital and must clearly convey all outstanding issues.
Position Responsibilities
- You will provide support for internal and external financial statements in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Participate in recurring and special projects involving divestitures and acquisitions, policy updates, compliance support, and process improvement initiatives.
- Participate in period-end close activities to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks, including identification and resolution of unusual items and issues.
- Create monthly accounting schedules as support for balance sheet account reconciliations and financial audits and provide analytic support to business partners as required.
- Review and perform general accounting activities in the SAP general ledger, which includes preparing and uploading journal entries related to more complex transactions and use of the Cadency tool.
- Partner cross-functionally on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives and reporting.
- Exercise judgment in financial, operational, or transactional analysis to identify and resolve issues.
- Assist in internal and external audits.
- Evaluate and maintain effectiveness of processes, procedures, and control environment.
- Alert management of situations that may materially affect the company’s overall financial condition.
- Work in a team environment and across business groups within the company.
- Ensure compliance with SOX Controls and CAG policies.
- Potential review and managerial responsibilities over subordinate financial reporting staff.
- Prioritize multiple activities to ensure accurate and timely completion of both scheduled and extemporaneous tasks within a tight deadline.

- Functional involvement in change management is frequent and eminent.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- CPA certification a plus
- 3+ plus years of business experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, financial reporting, etc.
- Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles required
- SAP experience helpful
