Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Executive Assistant to join our Executive Committee team, working directly with our EVP & Chief Financial Officer in our offices in Benton Harbor, MI.
This role conducts a range of diverse administrative and staff functions.
Your responsibilities will include
- Provide secretarial and administrative support primarily to the EVP & CFO, key leaders of our Executive Committee (EC) and to other members of the management team as needed.
- Handling of confidential documents and access to highly discretional information.
- Manage schedules & calendars, as well as organize global travel schedules and prepare itineraries and all logistics involved (hotels, transport, arranging visas if applicable, etc.)
- Draft correspondence, organize and coordinate internal/external meetings & materials (e.g. Board of Directors, Finance Committee, Audit Committee and Town Hall meetings)
- Provide support for invoice processing and expense reporting, as well as other office or administrative duties
- Coordinate with other assistants to help develop and drive best practices & proactively resolve issues and create value for team
- Get involved and lead initiatives in support of United Way and other charity and volunteer engagements sponsored by Whirlpool
- Communicates verbally and in writing, in a succinct and action oriented manner, summarizing information appropriately for an executive audience.
- Develops and maintains great working relationships with all partners and support functions (e.g. Executive & administrative assistants, procurement, HR, facility, finance, etc.). Shows up with a positive, teamwork-oriented attitude and flexible approach.
- Work in a dynamic environment by organizing and prioritizing work proactively and managing multiple tasks simultaneously; works with others to achieve high results
- Work independently with limited supervision; Willingness and ability to take initiative, anticipate issues, and offer solutions
- Learn and adjust quickly as new needs arise; Exercises judgment to identify and prioritize issues for the team
Minimum requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 7+ years of experience in an administrative role
Preferred skills and experiences
- Associates Degree
- Experience supporting Senior Executives
- Excellent PC skills, including strong proficiency in Google Slides, Sheets, and Docs as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, Internet search engines, etc.

- Accommodate a highly varied work schedule (i.e. some evening / weekend hours are required)
