Job Description:
The Sr. Electrical Engineering Designer is responsible for creating designs that meet the client’s requirements and expectations while conforming to appropriate Codes and Standards for the associated project. Detailed designs and drawings include:
- Instrumentation Index
- I/O Index
- Instrument Data Sheets
- Loop Diagrams
- Cause/Effect Diagrams
- Conduit/cable schedules
Competencies/Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of experience in electrical/Instrumentation design
- High Voltage Substation Design (up to 345 kV) experience preferred
- Subsurface and overhead transmission line design experience preferred
- Skilled and standard drafting techniques
- Skilled in standard drafting techniques
- Proficient in 2-D CAD, 3-D CAD, Plant Design, Revit and other Autodesk® products
- Working knowledge of process field instrumentation and process analyzers
- Familiarity with typical I&C/I&E drawings (P&ID's, Loops, etc.)
- Working knowledge of or familiarity with Microsoft Office products
- Strong communication skills and ability to make decisions independently
- Understanding of electrical and instrumentation design practices and regulations.
Education/Certification Requirements:
- Associate Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This position is available on-site of hybrid.
