The Role
Entegris is seeking a SeniorDirector of Operations to lead the Deposition & Etch Solutions (DES) manufacturing and operations team and to provide overall operational leadership for the Burnet TX site.
The Senior Director of Operations will report to the Materials Solutions Vice President of Operations and will be located in Burnet, TX.
This position will require building strong working relationships across the organization, developing partnerships on a local and global level, to solve and execute technical and manufacturing solutions related to manufacturing cycle time, cost, quality and product yield, for DES products.
What You'll Do
- As the senior member of the Burnet operations team, this role will coordinate and align with internal and external stakeholders including production engineering, maintenance, quality lab, material engineering, environmental health & safety, and others on critical operational, supply chain, and commercial requirements
- Management of a 150+ person manufacturing and warehouse team
- Translate manufacturing strategies into operational objectives, goals, and metrics to drive performance improvements in the areas of EHS, quality, delivery, and cost to enable the future profitable growth of the business
- Partner with Research & Development and New Product Introduction teams in bringing new products and processes to high-volume manufacturing states
- Overall site accountability for the safety, quality, cost, throughput and delivery of Deposition & Etch Solutions manufacturing operations
- Provide direction and prioritization to personnel regarding planning, scheduling, purchasing, manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, quality, inventory control and distribution/shipping
- Lead and/or participate in cross-functional teams to resolve customer supply and quality issues, and drive sustainable process improvements
- Develop and manage manufacturing performance objectives driving operational improvement
- Guide and support new product transition activities from engineering to high volume production
- Assist with the development, planning and execution of the overall global manufacturing strategy
What We Seek
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical) required, with an advanced degree in Business or Management preferred
- Experience in high purity/distillation manufacturing desired
- 15+ years manufacturing or operations experience, with continuously increasing responsibility and oversight
- Management and development of manufacturing and operations personnel
- Chemical, gas or semiconductor experience strongly preferred
- Experience with new product introduction, commercialization and product transitions (in-source, out-source or site-to-site)
- Proven experience leading cross functional teams to achieve business objectives
- Lean and/or Six Sigma certification desirable.
- Must be able to drive accountability down through organization
- Effective communicator to ensure strong teamwork between plant operations and business unit teams
- Strong ability to connect with and relate to the shop floor employees
- Lead with tenacity to get things done....i.e. strong execution focus
- Develop a "Customer-First" factory mindset and culture
- Ability to be on feet for long periods of time around manufacturing environment
