Senior Director of School Based Health - Pediatrics
We are seeking a Senior Director of School Based Health - Pediatrics role with our team in Houston, Texas!
The person in this role is responsible for providing clinical leadership over the School Based Health program, including but not limited to oversight of providers, clinical and quality metrics, and building and maintaining relationships with school partners.
Compensation Package:
- $135,000-$160,000 Base Salary (Based Experience)

Requirements:
- Board Certified (Family or Pediatric)
- Current Texas Nurse Practitioner License
- Minimum Master’s Degree
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience with direct patient care
- Passion for Working with Those In the Local Community
- Will have 4 to 5 Direct Reports
- Working with 30 Schools (1 NP and 1 MA in each) in the Galena Park, KIPP and Yes PREP school districts
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development and implementation of the overall strategic vision of the School Based Health Clinics.
- Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders. Serves as the point person for external leadership partners. Meets regularly with external partners to discuss progress, initiatives, growth, issues, and problem-solve. Acts as a spokesperson for outside entities.
- In consultation with leadership and in partnership with Operations Director, sets and identifies goals and targets for success and continued evaluation of SBHC.
- Envision, initiate and support healthcare and health promotion initiatives and strategies within the SB clinics to promote higher quality care and increased access for the school population.
- Advocate for the SBHC program internally within Legacy and external partnerships for support aimed at increasing SBHC success.
- Collaborates with Marketing to imagine and implement new marketing and outreach initiatives to increase patient visits and campus engagement. Works with Relations Manager for success.
- Coordinate components of the School Based Health clinics to ensure effective functioning.
- Participates and has key role in the decision making for new upcoming expansion sites as well as decisions on space location within site, clinic design, and contract agreements.
- Responsible for allocating appropriate tasks and projects to other SBH managers and/or staff including nurse manager, Relations Manager, and lead NPs.
