Job Summary
Baker Distributing is in search of an IT leader with security and development experience to take the role of Senior Director, Information Technology. This person will be responsible for leading, managing and growing the IT team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing and scaling IT operations as well as establishing and maintaining a company wide information security management program to ensure information assets are adequately protected. The Senior Director of Information Technology reports to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and is responsible for technical oversight of all areas of IT infrastructure, hardware, software, and security.

Essential Duties/Accountabilities
- Serves as the process owner for all assurance activities related to the availability, integrity and confidentiality of customers, business partners, employees, and other business information in compliance with the organization's information security policies.
- Leads the overall business technology planning, providing a future vision of technology and systems.
- Develop and implement strategic plans and priorities to ensure innovative and cost-effective technology programs and services for Baker Distributing.
- Communicate, escalate, manage & problem solve all support related issues including high priority incidents with follow-up root causes & prevention.
- Working with the IT team, monitor cybersecurity systems and status, respond to threats, and proactively harden and secure technology and data resources.
- Ensure the incident response plan, including detection, containment, mitigation, and recovery strategies, are regularly updated to meet the business needs.
- Manage all on-going projects & drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver on time, on budget.
- Ensure the IT team maintains accurate, up-to-date, and complete documentation of the network, hardware, servers, systems, and recovery processes.
- Regularly connect with senior leadership to instill trust and manage relationships.
Requirements:
Education and Experience
- 10 years of experience in IT.
- 5 years of experience leading Manager(s) and teams.
- A bachelor's degree in a related field, master's degree and/or technical certifications preferred. Relevant experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
- Experience with implementation and support of web-based and RPG applications (preferred).
- Experience with warehouse operational functions and processes (preferred).

- Demonstrated experience and understanding of technology architecture and infrastructure strategy and design.
- Demonstrated ability to make clear, quick decisions and judgments in time-sensitive, pressure situations and the ability to escalate issues/decisions where appropriate.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment

- Must be able to stand, sit, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, or crawl for long periods of time.
- Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and RF scanner for prolonged periods of time.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
