Job Summary
As the Sr. Director of Infrastructure, Security, and Administration at the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of our ultra-luxury hospitality at sea. In this leadership position, you will be responsible for delivering excellence in Infrastructure, Security, and IT Administration, both onboard our ships and across our corporate offices and remote workers. You will establish strategic and operational processes working with senior/executive management team members while ensuring IT initiatives achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future projects. Strong background and experience in IT technologies and managing infrastructure implementations in the cruising industry are fundamental for success in this role. The ability to travel internationally is a must, requiring a valid passport and work authorization from the United States.
Essential Functions
  • Lead and manage Infrastructure, Security, and IT Administration functions focused on a variety of operational business needs and projects within the Ritz Carlton Yacht Collection.
  • Oversee the selection, development, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and enhancement of the company's technology infrastructure.
  • Establish service level agreements and monitor progress toward key service delivery performance indicators (KPIs) or metrics.
  • Manage and participate in the planning and implementation of security standards, practices, and procedures to ensure system security and legal compliance.
  • Develop, schedule, test, and communicate the IT Disaster Recovery plan and Procedures.
  • Apply quality methodologies across IT Service delivery & project engagements to escalate issues effectively, plan succession and rotations, and actively participate in transition activities.
  • Collect, measure, report, and communicate progress to the Executive Leadership Team, as well as stakeholders in other areas of the business as necessary.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership on the evaluation, allocation, and management of IT assets, including budget and strategic planning.
  • Establish a collaborative framework with shipbuilding teams and shipbuilding yards to monitor and influence levels of service in ongoing support, enhancements, new development, and delivery, for monitoring the SLA activity of IT services, and teams and implementing corrective measures when required.
  • Provide leadership, motivation, coaching, professional development, and day-to-day support to foster an engaged work environment with a focus on excellent customer service.

Skills and Experience
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 10+ years of overall experience in Information Technology infrastructure and security implementations, with specific emphasis on Infrastructure Lifecycle Management (ITIL) governance, Project Management, Technology Planning, Technology Platform Delivery, Strategic Planning, Budget Planning, Multi-team leadership, Vendor Management, and Executive Communications
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in a leadership role overseeing cloud server and storage hardware infrastructure
  • Background in the Cruise Industry is strongly preferred, but equivalent experience in the Travel (Hotel, Airline) or Marine Industries (Military, Merchant Marine, etc.) will be considered
  • Experience in an environment of diverse, but related systems, platforms, and applications
  • Experience directing multi-million-dollar budget projects is a plus
  • Experience implementing technology in support of cruise line businesses is a significant plus, including but not limited to ship construction, ship refits, dry docks, new builds, VSAT installations, and architectural modifications in support of technology solutions
  • Strong experience in technology planning, project planning, and team leadership, as well as establishing and managing service measures to ensure organizational effectiveness
  • Experience with multi-cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, and Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with ITIL and processes such as incident, request, change, configuration, and problem
  • A firm level of proficiency and technical understanding of applications and systems lifecycle is necessary to fulfill the position's responsibilities
  • Experience in managing comprehensive enterprise-wide information security and IT risk management programs is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus solid organization, presentation, and documentation abilities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, including remotely or on ships
  • Ability to travel worldwide an average of 10-20% of the time. Some traveling may include cruises in our ships requiring appropriate documents for international travel
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Portfolio Management Professional certification are a plus.

Work Environment
  • Hybrid, working in a typical office environment in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
  • Approximately 10-20% travel, including working at shipyards and/or aboard our cruise ships.
  • Candidate must be able to pass a background check to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card and other cruise port access IDs worldwide.
