IT Operations Director

TITLE: IT Operations Director
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Compensation Range : $180-190K
An ICS client is seeking an IT Operations Director who will own infrastructure oversight for all technical operations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional who works with the team to achieve goals, meet quotas, eliminate security risks and increase system operational availability and reliability. The successful candidate will be a change management expert and extremely knowledgeable around IT infrastructure including networks, cloud services (GCP preferred) Salesforce, server support, data center operations, help desk, mac/windows and call centers. This position is responsible for the entire systems administration team.
Responsibilities:

• Develop reliable metrics for hardware, software and storage while ensuring strategic capacity and performance planning
• Develop department operational policies, and procedures
• Oversee the operation of GCP/ cloud and local servers and networks
• Bring knowledge around high availability, scalability, resilience, performance and cloud security requirements for all platforms in the Cloud.
• Identify security vulnerabilities and work with the Cyber team to eliminate
• Direct and support implementation of software and hardware upgrades
• Identify and recommend new technology solutions that can be implemented in our department
• Manage partnership for L1/L2 support and manage internal employees proving L3 support.
• Responsible for maintaining and executing the IT Emergency Action Plan
• Work closely with AppDev, Data, Architecture teams, and Cloud enablement to design solutions that deliver business value
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Programming, Computer Science or related field OR 10+ years related experience
• 8+ years' management experience in an IT environment
• 4+ years of experience in cloud architecture and design of business-critical applications
• Knowledge of various operating systems and platforms
• Knowledge of network, system, and application security
• Knowledge of information technology principles, concepts and techniques
• Strong technical knowledge (Cloud Platforms - specifically GCP)
• Ability to operate successfully in a lean, agile and fast-paced environment and own/drive the solution architecture definition
• GCP or Cloud support experience highly desirable
