Senior Director of HR and Organizational Development
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for developing and executing a holistic human resource/Organizational Development/training (HR/OD) strategy to support the PACE SEMI Mission, Vision, Values, Goals, Principles, desired organizational culture, and performance of its people. The Sr. Director of HR/OD is accountable for developing and directing plans, policies, processes, and measurements to ensure an attractive and highly engaged positive work environment. In addition, this role is responsible for all people-related strategies, actions, programs and projects for HR/Organizational/Leadership development, training and wellness. Functional responsibilities and oversight include talent recruitment and retention strategies, HRIS, employee engagement, DEIJ, HR/OD data tracking, measurement & reporting, employee compensation & benefits, HR regulatory compliance, onboarding, performance management (including Ten Principles and Coaching), teambuilding, continuous improvement, change management, internal communications, and training/people development. This role oversees strategies, programs, and support to advance the effectiveness/competence of the leaders to ensure a desired culture and positive work environment for its people.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leads, directs, guides and coaches the leaders/teams of HR/OD to ensure high quality services, programs, and projects.
• Establish and implement HR employee services, programs, projects, and systems that effectively communicate and support the company's mission, vision, and values. Develop HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall business operations objectives.
• Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the needs of PACE SEMI direction and goals.
• Collaborates with PACESEMI leaders to develop and implements plans, programs, and initiatives to provide on-going training, coaching, education, and learning opportunities to ensure highly competent caring leaders and staff focused on continual learning and improved performance.
• Acts as a strategic thought partner and trusted advisor on all things related to people development, culture, and the work environment.
• Works with executive leadership team to establish a sound plan of management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the company.
• Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits plans that are competitive and cost-effective.
• Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, compensation, and benefits globally.
• Works strategically with leaders in the organization to plan for the development of current and upcoming leaders to foster the desired PACE SEMI culture.
• Develops, designs, implements, monitors, and maintains both initial and ongoing training and development programs across the organization to ensure a high performing competent PACE SEMI team.
• Collaborates with others to develop a highly engaged PACE SEMI team through a multitude of modalities.
• Provide ongoing CMS & State training to ensure compliance to all regulatory requirements. Influence and advise on strategies, solutions, training, tools, and resources to advance the thinking and skills of leadership and staff.
• Advocates for change, including new approaches and processes – challenging the status quo to advance care delivery.
• Utilizes synergy between HR/OD team to ensure engagement and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
• Ensures consistent onboarding, which aligns with the culture of PACE SEMI to introduce new team members to the PACE model and ensure competency in PACE regulations etc.
• Provides oversight and guidance to the Employee Wellness Team, to further the vision of an engaged and holistically well organization.
• Plans and effectively manages training providers, internal facilitators, and consultants in accordance with set budget.
• Uses skills gap assessments to identify training needs per department, team, and individual.
• Evaluates, tracks, and reports the impact of learning (ROI).
• Identifies innovative, cost-effective, impactful solutions that address all requirements and improve learner outcomes.
• Recommends and implements innovative training methods leveraging technology whenever possible.
• Provides influence, guidance, feedback and coaching to provide strategies, solutions, training, tools, and resources to advance the thinking and skills of leadership and staff.
• Communicates clearly and in a compelling way with all key stakeholders.
• Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• A bachelor’s degree is required, Masters preferred (or equivalent of the same in working experience or industry certification is also acceptable).
• Ten years of experience in HR/OD leadership
• Prior experience in healthcare leader training or management.
• Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of adult learning – using principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
• Principles and techniques of coaching, mentoring, and performance consulting.
• Proficient in all MS Office Programs.
