POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

The Senior Director of Dining Operations is responsible for Operations Processes, Technology Process Improvements, Platform Communications, Food Safety Strategy and Platform/Units Openings/Closings. This role will have oversight and guide all operations projects and planning. This leader is a key partner to many corporate teams including, but not limited to FP&A, Human Resources, Business Systems & Transformation, and IT, and is responsible for leading rollouts and implementations to the Field. The Senior Director will also be responsible for ensuring Communications to and from the Field from the Corporate Office are timely, organized, efficient and strategic.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role:

  • Will partner with Business Systems and Transformation to support the implementation and ongoing management of the Workforce Management system to drive optimized scheduling and efficiencies.
  • Will partner with Business Systems and Transformation to support the design, deployment, and ongoing process improvement for the SAP in the Dining Division.
  • This individual will establish the framework for monitoring and measuring key performance indicators to assess overall reporting performances for all locations
  • This leader will support and coach the Food Safety leader to drive results and consistency in food safety operations within the divisions. Will establish the framework for monitoring and measuring key performance indicators to assess overall sanitation awareness for all locations (Food Safety).
  • Will partner with the Director of Business Systems and Field Leadership to Identify, design, and implement systems and best practices to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of our operations and improve the guest experience.
  • Partner with Business Systems and field leadership, our vendor community as well as attend trade shows to identify emerging technology that could provide improved customer experience and operating efficiencies as well as differentiate us from others in the airport community.
  • Participate in the company’s strategic planning process
  • Work closely with Operations, Finance, and Inventory Accounting to determine the scope and requirements of various system enhancements and impact on other areas of the business.
  • Regularly visit locations with field partners to understand things that are working well and areas of opportunity for improvement.
  • Must be able to quickly estimate the size of an opportunity to ensure that we remain focused on the things that will produce the largest return first.
  • Partner closely with Business Systems and the Information Technology team to help guide and direct on the prioritization of different development needs.
  • Maintain focus of financial project goals and timelines for all system development efforts.
  • Partner with the training department on the development of training materials to support various system enhancements and implementations
  • Work Closely with the Regional VP of Operations of Dining along with the VP of Business Transformation and VP of LP and Safety to understand their needs and the needs of their teams from a systems perspective.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years food and beverage management experience, including 5 years’ experience in a Fortune 500 food and beverage environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred.
  • Prior experience with developing and maintaining a Workforce Management (WFM) system preferred.
  • Prior experience with SAP preferred.
  • Ability to accomplish organization objectives by organizing and monitoring work processes. Proficiency in MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, & MS Power BI experience preferred.
  • Experience managing statistical & analytical reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate with both corporate and field resources.
  • Excellent end-to-end project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and without supervision
