WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Fors Marsh is seeking a leader in Learning and Development to join our management team. This individual will be expected to lead a talented group of learning specialists, instructional designers, and technology experts to create and develop world-class learning experiences for our clients. A core element of this position will be setting direction and structure for the capture, design, and implementation of some of the largest and most consequential learning and development efforts in the country. This position is best suited for an individual that has a well-established strategy for delivering outstanding learning products to government clients as well as a strategy for business growth through client account management and staff development.
Responsibilities include:
- Growth Strategy Management: Monitoring the environment and setting direction for long-term growth (2-3 yrs). Articulating where Fors Marsh meets the future market and positioning this line of business to be indispensable. Leveraging relationships with senior leaders of client organizations (e.g., customers, business partners, subcontractors, and universities) to develop a significant pipeline of new work (2-3 yrs) and foster robust growth.
- Resource Management: Aligning resources and budgets with long-term growth goals and organizational principles.
- Collaboration and People Management: Ensuring Fors Marsh has the right people in the right places for today and tomorrow, aligned with opportunity. Working with leaders from within and across practices to set long-term goals, create structures that cultivate an engaging and innovative work environment, and foster continuous learning and development. Leading diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) in hiring, skill development, team involvement, business development, and contract execution.
- Influence/Reputation Management. Developing and using one's social/professional capital to influence strategic constituencies (e.g., clients, partners, professional associations), strengthen the Fors Marsh brand, and enhance the human capital practice reputation.
- Performance Management: Defining, attending to, achieving organizational and practice area performance metrics, balancing today's return with tomorrow's investment. Designing and managing quality control systems and implementing financial controls across a variety of contracts.
- Customer Management: Building effective client partnerships, anticipating needs, continuously communicating, and ensuring high-quality delivery. Developing systems to identify and address risk and employing effective conflict management.
- Thought Leadership: Leading the internal development of innovative, cutting-edge learning and development capabilities that tie together research and practice and significantly improve Fors Marsh competitive advantage. Externally communicating these innovations to key audiences. Specific content areas include personnel and organizational assessments, organizational research, talent development, and business process improvement.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree required, and prefer a focus in organizational and/or behavioral sciences or public administration or a related field.
- At least 15 years of experience in federal business development in learning and development services, including specific expertise in developing and leading concurrent capture efforts on major federal contracts, is required.
- Extensive professional network with partners and clients in the federal learning and development space.
- History of relevant thought-leadership in human capital in the form of publishing, presenting, and/or policy making (e.g., committee and association membership).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and consent to a full background check due to our federal contract requirements.
- Applicants may be subject to a low-level government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to sensitive information.

Salary: 175-195k
