Bohler is looking for a Business Development executive to head up a talented team of Business Development professionals in securing new work opportunities and developing a strong pipeline of future business.
What You'll Do:
- Responsible for the oversight, management, and development of the Business Development team, actively contributing to their professional development, inspiring them to achieve excellence, and cultivating a positive and collaborative work environment.
- In collaboration with key stakeholders, responsible for developing and ensuring effective execution of a firmwide strategic Business Development plan.
- Provide guidance and strategic direction to Business Development Leaders in creating and implementing local Business Development plans.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators related to Business Development activities, providing regular updates and reports to senior management.
- Monitor expenditures and financial performance against budgetary goals, identifying areas for optimization and cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement cost-effective strategies to maximize return on investment in Business Development activities, while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Collaborate closely with Divisional Leadership, MarComms, Account Management, and Client Experience teams, to ensure cohesive and integrated Business Development efforts.
- Collaborate with HR, the Organizational and Talent Development (OTD) department, and senior management to identify skill gaps and training needs, tailoring programs to address specific areas of improvement.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance visibility.
- Lead by example, demonstrating accountability, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of Business Development.
- Encourage a growth mindset and continuous learning among team members.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all Business Development activities.
What You'll Need:
- Proven experience in Business Development or sales roles within the AEC industry.
- Demonstrated track record of effectively managing teams.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective business plans.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and identify opportunities for growth.
- Proven track record of successfully managing client relationships and closing deals.
- Ability to travel as needed.
