Job description

Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Senior Director, Change Management.

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Position Location: This position is remote within our remote states within person preference.

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET).

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or education required.
  • 5 years leadership experience required.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Master’s degree preferred.

Expectations for this Role:

Sentara Health is seeking a Senior Director, Change Management to play a crucial role in creating and implementing system-wide strategies to optimize the success of change initiatives at Sentara, ensuring smooth transitions, establishing a feedback loop with key stakeholder groups, and minimizing resistance to change.

Role Mission: This position will play a crucial role in creating and implementing system-wide strategies to optimize the success of change initiatives at Sentara, ensuring smooth transitions, establishing a feedback loop with key stakeholder groups, and minimizing resistance to change. Key Responsibilities: - Change Management Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive Change Management strategies, plans, and roadmaps that support the successful adoption of new initiatives, technologies, and organizational changes. - Change Management Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to project teams and stakeholders in effectively managing change processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of change initiatives. - Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with communications professionals to develop tailored communication plans to effectively communicate the rationale, benefits, and impacts of change to various audiences. Develop and implement an internal communication strategy that ensures timely and transparent communication across all levels of the organization to contribute to change capability and a common language around Change Management. - Change Readiness and Adoption: Assess the organization's readiness for change and develop plans to build change readiness across all levels of the organization. Monitor and measure the adoption and utilization of new processes, systems, or practices, and implement corrective actions when needed. Contribute to organizational change maturity and competency by embracing continuous improvement in Change Management processes. Attributes: - Manages complexity - Communicates effectively - High tolerance of ambiguity - Influencer without power - Situational adaptability Skills and Knowledge: - Strong understanding of Change Management principles, methodologies and tools (Prosci or ACMP certification preferred) - Ability to manage multiple initiatives/projects simultaneously - Ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights - Ability to manage and motivate team members and ensure consistency in application of Change Management methodologies and processes.
