Job Description

Qualifications
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field of study AND Five (5) Years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field of study AND Five (5) Years of experience, the employer will also accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field of study AND Three (3) Years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained.
Applicants must also have demonstrated experience with the following:
- Object oriented analysis, design and development using Java;
- Spring Boot or Spring Framework;
- Analysis of business requirement to form design strategy;
- Design, development, maintenance, and support of frameworks within large, 24x7, enterprise scale applications;
- Event Driven Architecture using Axon; Domain Driven Design or CQRS;
- Responsive web development using Angular;
- Web development using HTML5 and CSS; XML and JSON;
- Relational databases (PostGres);
- ORM (Hibernate);
- SQL construction (DDL and DML) with a focus on performance;
- Application performance analysis;
- Monitoring system and application performance using Elastic Stack;
- Migration from legacy systems to Java based applications;
- Enterprise systems integration with SOAP and RESTful APIs;
- Kafka for publishing and consuming events;
- Large dataset analysis and data structures;
- Front end testing using Jasmine framework;
- Web-based and service-based architectures;
- Deployment paradigm concepts;
- Maven;
- Continuous Development using IntelliJ;
- Software version control using GitLab;
- DevOps tools (Chef or GitLab CI/CD pipelines);
- Enterprise Unix-like operating systems, including familiarity with the command line – putty, powershell or bash;
- Unit testing and integration testing with Junit Framework;
- Research and assessment of new technologies for adoption;
- Logistics industry experience: Freight forwarding, air, truck or ocean transportation, or warehousing; and
- DevSecOps, Lean, Agile, and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Additional Information
Salary range for position: $182,312.00 to $200,000.00 per year.
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Hybrid in-office/remote position.
Candidates must be local or willing to relocate at their own expense.
