Overview

Performs as a senior member of the applications development team, develop design, code, test and maintain complex solutions to support business initiatives. Responsible for collaborating with key business partners to define and determine requirements and solutions needed. Lead project tracks and provide technical leadership and direction as required.

Job Responsibilities

Core Accountabilities:

  • Gather and analyze technical information for designing new systems and changes to existing systems.
  • Define and build detailed technical solutions to support complex application development projects.
  • Create system design specifications and build to those specifications that support complex project assignments.
  • Serve as a Senior Developer in the development of the technical design documents and provide oversight to external developers.
  • Perform development, data migration , data integration, maintenance, and support of complex, multiple, and/or interrelated systems independently or with little direction
  • Provide input to assist in the development of IT application and technical architecture strategies.
  • Participates in 24/7, 365 day on call support rotation.
  • Apply in depth technical expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, PL/SQL, Unix, Scripting, BI Publisher (BIP), Oracle Retail Merchandising Suite (RMS), Oracle Retail Integration Bus (RIB) including Foundations (Item, Location, supplier) and hierarchies, Purchase Orders, Multi-Channel, Pricing, Inventory Management, Replenishment, Retail Sales Audit (ReSA) and Stock Ledger, .NET Core Framework, C#, Web Services, and WebAPI, to guide and direct others in their areas of technical responsibility
  • defining technical architectural approaches and recommending process, guidelines and best practices for respective technical areas, including ERP implementation;
  • Drive Results through effective communication of ideas and solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership, guide and mentor other IT associates on best practices, development techniques and suctioning.
  • Participate in hardware and/or software studies and provide recommendations to management on results.
  • Contribute to the selection and development of technical architecture and ensure implementation complies with methodologies, standards and architectural guidelines.
  • Travel as required.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Required:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years experience in the job offered or as a Senior Software Engineer.
  • 5+ years experience developing software applications using SQL, PL/SQL, Unix, Scripting, BIP, and Oracle Retail Merchandising Suite (RMS), including Foundations (Item, Location, supplier) and hierarchies
  • 5+ years experience developing software applications for Purchase Orders, Multi-Channel, Pricing, Inventory Management and Stock Ledger, ReSA, RIB, Replenishment
  • Previous experience defining technical architectural approaches and recommending process, guidelines and best practices for respective technical areas, including ERP implementation.
  • Retail experience preferred.
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
  • MS Office Experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of technical and architectural applications, as applied to projects of increasing size and complexity, with emphasis on the following core activities:

  • Possess an understanding of development and desktop tools used in day to day assignments.
  • Applies comprehensive knowledge of a particular field or specialization to the completion of difficult assignments.
  • Applies advanced analytical interpretation and problem solving.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that are required by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; as well as reach with hands and arms.
  • The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
  • Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.
  • Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building.
  • Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel Required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. As an International Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.

Requirements & EEO Statement

The salary range for this position is $XX,000 to $XX,000 annually. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to position offered and work experience.
