Design Group automation & Controls Engineers are experts in *PLC/HMI, PLC based SCADA, DCS and S88 batch control systems and MES solutions *for a broad range of applications including legacy system and cross platform migration.
*What You’ll Do*
* _*Travel and spend time onsite at client manufacturing locations, implementing automation & controls systems, and maintaining, and growing solid client relationships*_
* Design innovative automation control systems, create project documentation and drawings to meet client requirements
* Program PLCs (Rockwell) and HMI/SCADAs (FactoryTalk, Ignition, Wonderware)
* Participate in various automation project phases including installation, checkout and start-up
*What You’ll Bring*
* A minimum of eight years of direct experience as a Controls Engineer working on automated processes/system integration in a food, beverage, consumer health product, or other industrial manufacturing environment
* A track record of proficiency in control systems, troubleshooting, and working in high intensity environments
* Experience in the design and implementation of control system architectures (PLC, HMI, industrial networks, and related automation hardware and software)
* A solid understanding of industrial control panel design and fabrication (UL508A)
* Engineering consulting experience (preferred)
* The ability to successfully interact with clients
* Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
* Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
* A willingness to travel for project requirements including installation and start-up activities, client and company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, and conventions
* A Bachelor of Science in electrical, mechanical, chemical engineering, or a related degree (preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
