Responsibilities
● Inspecting and diagnosing Refrigeration and HVAC equipment for mechanical and electrical failures
● Performing regular maintenance on equipment, following site protocols and using check-off lists
● Installing and maintaining Refrigeration and HVAC systems
● Training less-experienced technicians
● Following-through from initial diagnosis to completion of repairs
● Communicating with customer, supply house, and office personnel regarding equipment and repair status
● Documenting all service call details and materials used on calls
● Participating in on-call rotation
● Maintaining accurate records for refrigerant usage per EPA regulations
● Participating in training and safety classes
● Abiding by all OSHA safety regulations
● Maintaining company vehicle through regular preventive maintenance programs

Responsibilities
What We Need
● Strong background in supermarket rack refrigeration field service to include:
○ 10+ years" experience servicing rack refrigeration systems
○ Ability to troubleshoot and repair rack systems and digital controls
○ Ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints
○ Universal EPA certification
● Experience with RHVAC construction to include:
○ Refrigeration piping principles and practice
○ Air balancing principles and techniques
○ Sheet metal practices and panel construction
● Specific Refrigeration knowledge/experience required:
○ Familiar with rack components-oil management, defrost system, high-side system, compressor system, case, low-side system, electrical, and EMS
○ Familiar with all rack valves-EPR valves, solenoid valves, low-ambient valves, split-header valves, etc.
○ Familiar with repair and adjustment of cold case doors (latches, handles, hinges, gaskets), vinyl strip curtains, lighting, fan motors, thermometers and temperature alarms, defrost and condensate heaters, evaporators, pallet racks, etc.
○ Energy Management Systems (EMS)-CPC/Emerson, Novar, Danfoss, Bacharach
○ Refrigerated cases-Hussmann, Zero Zone, Hill-Phoenix, Kysor/Warren, Arneg, Tyler
○ Ice Machines-Manitowoc, Hoshizaki, Scotsman
● Specific HVAC knowledge/experience required:
○ Roof-top units (RTU)-Carrier, Trane, Lennox, York, Reznor
○ Energy recovery units (ERU)
○ Water source heat pump (WSHP)
○ Boilers
○ Cooling towers
○ Packaged, Split, and Mini-split systems
○ Direct Expansion (DX) HVAC systems
