Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst with a strong background in high-level SQL use and proficient database management skills. The ideal candidate will play a key role in analyzing business processes, translating requirements into technical specifications, and ensuring effective database management. Additionally, experience in Power Apps is a major bonus for applicants.
- This will be hybrid role and reports a minimum 2 days onsite in San Ramon, California.
- This position does not incorporate "Machine Learning" applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of business processes and data requirements.
- Develop and execute complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data.
- Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards to support decision-making processes.
- Database Management:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of databases.
- Optimize database performance, ensuring efficient data retrieval and storage.
- Implement and enforce data security and integrity measures.
- Requirement Gathering and Documentation:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications for database development.
- Maintain detailed documentation of database structures, processes, and procedures.
- Power Apps Integration:
- Leverage Power Apps to develop solutions that enhance business processes.
- Integrate Power Apps with existing databases and systems.
- Provide expertise in optimizing Power Apps for efficiency and user experience.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives.
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement solutions aligned with business goals.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough testing of database systems and applications to ensure accuracy.
- Identify and troubleshoot data anomalies, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Implement and oversee data validation processes.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Propose and implement improvements to existing database structures and processes.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing database performance.

- Experience in data visualization, preferably Power BI.
