The Senior Risk Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the firm's risks are managed systemically, such that the firm has a regular, comprehensive view of its risk profile as well as of key trends and emerging risks that could potentially affect the firm's overall risk profile. We ensure that senior leadership is consistently informed on the holistic risk profile, inclusive of market and credit risk related to equities, options, futures, fixed income and other assets classes in a way that facilitates strategic planning and risk decision making. Hybrid or Remote Work is possible.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Review and approve client risk communications and calculations
- Analyze prospective client portfolios and determine their buying power and risk levels
- Issue margin calls and liquidate portfolios if necessary
- Review and monitor client trading activity real time through risk management systems
- Perform market and credit risk surveillance by monitoring hedge funds, institutions and propriety trading firms
- Build, monitor, distribute risk reports and calculations
- Prepare, review and circulate for approval credit write-up packages, complete with a well-considered recommendation.
- Meticulous preparation and thorough review of liquidity stress tests.
- Forecast and monitor market trends and the effects on client portfolios
- Conduct statistical analysis to evaluate risk and use statistical software such as Python, SQL and R
- Perform other duties as required and assigned
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university, preferably in Business, Economics, Finance or related field
- FINRA Series 7 license (will sponsor)
- Ability to think analytically and identify potential risk, strong numeracy, analytical and strategy skills
- Stays current on compliance and regulatory practices
- Self-starter, able to work independently to resolve problems and implement new initiatives in support of team goals
- Highly proficient in MS Office, Advanced Excel skills. SQL, Python and R proficiency would be a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment and multi-task.

Decisions regarding compensation are determined on a case-by-case basis and are dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The hiring salary range for this role is $85,000-100,000. Colleagues may be eligible for additional, discretionary incentive compensation based on the colleague's and the firm's performance.
