We believe that inclusion helps us thrive and grow at United across our collaborative Finance teams consisting of Financial Planning & Analysis, Internal Audit, Treasury, Global Procurement, Controllership, Investor Relations and more. These teams provide the financial fuel that keeps our operation running from providing detailed analyses of financial planning, performance, and forecasts to managing our investments and financial strategies. Our Finance team plays an integral role in making our airline profitable and successful by meeting our financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost-effective sourcing and reliable supply of jet fuel is essential to a global airline’s operation and financial results. The complexity and dynamic nature of the Fuel Supply chain and the evolving energy transition with increasing role of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) requires as fast-paced self-motivated collaborative team player with positive attitude, strong quantitative skills, and ready to learn the aviation fuel world and improve the status quo.
The Sr Analyst - Fuel Supply will support critical analytical workstreams and projects for Supply and Logistics team.
- Support analysis of jet Fuel Supply tenders including a thorough assessment of the alternative offers and contractual options that affect the total cost of delivered fuel price
- Develop and maintain periodic and ad-hoc fuel analytics including price and volume components as required
- Develop quality data pulls to support timely analysis and presentation of insights to drive team decision making, and support team projects to improve data driven decision making
- Assist in investigating price and fees discrepancies on third party invoices as well as implement process improvements in our fuel accounting system that would lead to efficiencies
- Provide high-quality real time support for resolving supply disruptions coordinating with all partners including transportation providers, fuel system operators, and airline teams with focus on improving processes, data gathering and clear communication to increase lead times to respond

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience
- Strong analytical and quantitative modeling skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
- Job availability is 24/7 with minimal travel
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree
- CPA, MBA
- Experience in large corporate, finance/accounting, supply chain planning, logistics
- Proficient in data analysis and visualization, reporting and business intelligence tools
- Ability to lead multiple projects concurrently with prioritization
- Sophisticated user of Microsoft Excel with knowledge of PowerBI, SQL,
- Familiarity with ERP (Oracle), ETRM systems
