Job Description:
The Senior Analyst of Business Analytics & Planning role is a unique mix of analytical prowess and business acumen, working in tandem with Studios, Product, Finance, and Executive teams to deliver strategic insights and support decision-making. An ideal candidate is one who can adeptly interpret complex data, transforming it into actionable intelligence that propels business goals, uncovers opportunities, and enhances the player experience. Your passion for data, coupled with a deep understanding of the gaming industry's dynamics, will be instrumental in influencing the fun and engagement of our gaming community.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver actionable insights and analytics that inform strategic decisions and enhance stakeholder understanding.
- Lead analytical projects to identify trends and player behaviors, aiming to improve game engagement and in-game economy efficiency.
- Develop and present clear reports that highlight analytical findings and provide comprehensive results on a monthly and quarterly basis to management.
- Foster collaboration with other analytics teams to exchange knowledge, methods, and best practices.
- Integrate various data sources and coding frameworks to construct an in-depth view of player behavior.
- Liaise with data engineers to specify requirements and guide the development of ETL processes and database structures, ensuring the accessibility and reliability of data.
Player Profile
- A degree in a quantitative field such as Analytics, Data Science, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics.
- Over five years of experience in database analytics, working with extensive, complex, and multi-dimensional data sets.
- At least three years of experience independently managing projects, including creating analysis plans with defined objectives and timelines.
- Advanced SQL querying skills required, Python a plus
- Skilled in using Excel for data visualization, analysis, and summarizing insights.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to extract insights from very large sets of data.
- A genuine enthusiasm for video games and leveraging data to enhance business outcomes.
- Proven ability to tackle analytical challenges, integrate diverse data, and articulate insights and recommendations effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with a track record of successful collaboration with non-technical stakeholders in a leadership capacity.
- Experience in mentoring and developing the skills of junior team members.
Nice To have:
- Familiarity with BI tools, such as Tableau, is preferred.
- Experience handling large customer behavior data sets in industries such as gaming, retail, or financial services, including proficiency in ETL processes, database logic, and data infrastructure optimization.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $80,800.00 - $149,400.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role's range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
