Augustine Consulting, Inc. is a Woman-Owned Small Business professional services provider of engineering and technical services to the United States Government. We seek an experienced, self-starting Senior Accountantto serve as a part of the Company’s corporate staff.
- Day-To-Day Accounting Activities — Oversee and audit daily AR, AP and sub-ledger transactions for accuracy and ensure all cost records are properly recorded. Maintain and update customer records, vendor records, expense records, contract documents, labor reports, payables, receivables, and related cash transactions.
- Month End Closing – Manage month end closing of the company’s books, including but not limited to prepaids, accruals, depreciation, and taxes.
- Monthly Reconciliations - Perform monthly reconciliations on all cost records and accounts. Prepare monthly cost reports, general ledger reconciliations, and review trial balance for financial statements.
- Fixed Assets – Maintain schedules or records of assets and equipment for depreciation and audit.
- Maintain financial security and stability by managing established internal expenditure controls.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Accounting
- Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience: 5+ years in financial accounting including preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
- Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Highly proficient with accounting software (Unanet preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of U.S. Government contract accounting experience
- Prior exposure to DCAA audits
- MBA
- Active CPA license

Pay Band Information:
$80,000 - $125,000
